Mr. Markus Koth from Don Bosco Mondo, Germany visited Don Bosco Secondary School in Mansa to monitor and evaluated on the progress of the implementation of the project so far.Together with him Fr. Peter Gozdalski from the Salesian Economer General’s office in Rome and Fr. Louis Malama the Provincial E Economy and Provincial Development Office (PDO) Director too visited the project and the community in Mansa. This important visit coincided with the official provincial visitation of Fr. George Chalissery the provincial of ZMB Vice province who is making his annual visitation to the Salesian community.
The visitors were warmly welcomed by the Salesians, the Salesians Sisters, the Volunteers and people form the Parish, Project and Youth Centre. On Friday 27 of April the visitors spent the whole day touring the project site and holding discussion with people regarding the present activities and future plans, highlighting successes and challenges and exhorting those responsible for different works. They were very impressed with the current project and advised the Salesians to plan for sustainability of all the good projects going on in Mansa.
On a different note Fr. Michael Wzietek who has been the project Manager since 2011 and who as worked in Mansa since the beginning of the Salesian Mission in Mansa is leaving for his long holidays to Poland. Thanks to his hard work and dedication a lot have been achieved in Don Bosco, Mansa. He will be missed greatly by the young people and the community.
